Dear MM Readers,
It saddens me to tell you that this blog has come to it’s end.
Note: Having recently paid to renew the domain registration for a full year, I’ve no immediate plans to take down my blog. All recipes, tutorials and informative type posts will most likely stay up (barring any unforeseen circumstance) through to 2016, and possibly reorganized for easier access.
I’ve lost interest and, I don’t want to keep this blog updated anymore.
Honestly, I’ve been fighting this fact for some time because, to even think about letting MerelyMarie go has been knot-in-throat (and eyelash batting away almost-tears) inducing.
It’s not easy to let go of something you’ve created from nothing…Something you’ve worked laboriously on, obsessed over, invested in and had high hopes for…Something that had become a part of your identity, and a major part of your life.
But, it’s time.
I’m ready and excited for a new chapter! One which doesn’t involve much, if any, personal use of social media really. Just experiencing and enjoying the minutiae of everyday – and extraordinary – life like many people do…Without a thought, draw, feeling of compulsion or sense of urgency to post any of it online for the world to see.
Don’t get me wrong.
I’ve enjoyed documenting bits of my world over the past 4 1/2 years. I’ve especially enjoyed sharing information and things I thought others might find useful.
This has been mostly a pleasure and, I would say, an absolute privilege and learning experience. If my heart were still in it, I could go on and on and on. But, it’s not. So, I can’t.
I’m so thankful to have had such loyal and kind readers like you. You all have truly encouraged and inspired me over the years and, before this gets too long and sappy, I just want to say thank you.
For your time, conversation, advice, support, warmth and friendliness…Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart!
